People data
Redesigned the experience and interface of “People data” on the GoProfiles platform (formally known as “Data connector”).

01. Overview
The People data feature is designed to streamline data integration between existing HRIS platforms and GoProfiles.
As part of this project, I created a new user experience and design that allows admins to easily connect their HRIS systems to GoProfiles and transfer essential data. Once the sources are connected, admins can "match the data" by selecting which data fields should pull information from which connected sources.
This redesign enhances the efficiency and usability of the data transfer process, making it simpler for admins to manage and synchronize data across platforms.
02. Problem
The previous flow did not indicate whether the connecting and matching were both completed or not
Once sources were connected, it did not indicate which sources were connected to which field.
It did not have a clear CTA when users first got on the page.
The gap between field names and selectors was too wide to associate with each other.
Not all fields have the same actions which acted as a potential confusion for users.
For admins to create new fields and manage actions for each field, they had to go into settings to find that feature. This experience did not feel unified.
The previous interface did not indicate who connected the source and whether fields were synced or not.
03. Design process
To solve these problems, I created different iterations by combining the two tab experiences into one screen, creating new interfaces, and taking inspiration from similar experiences on GoSearch and GoLinks.
After multiple iterations, I landed on a final design that shows a clear CTA that allows users to get a clear understanding of the actions they can and need to take.
The updated interface provides clear indications that the previous design lacked such as showing CTA buttons, whether the connected sources have synced fields, their status, and the person who connected it. It also displays the type of fields (text, date, etc.) as well as displaying only the necessary actions for each field.
